ALICE LAWRANCE's SS21 Collection Is an Ode to Its Beginnings
Titled “Seoul 2015.”
Back for Spring/Summer 2021, ALICE LAWRANCE has prepared a seasonal collection that serves as an ode to its beginnings.
Now based in Taiwan, ALICE LAWRANCE started off as a cafe located in Seoul’s trendy Hannam-Dong district, launching its clothing foray in the summer of 2015. Gaining traction, ALICE LAWRANCE evolved into a full clothing label that serves to represent the idea of post-modern streetwear with its unisex ranges built upon memory and moods.
Titled “Seoul 2015,” the SS21 collection from ALICE LAWRANCE reflects on its first offering which was simply comprised of minimalist graphic tees with evocative quotes. Leading the selection is “The Start” T-shirt which celebrates the logo of the now gone cafe, “The Perfection” T-shirt reflects on a tee marked with the phrase “Black Coffee and Yohji,” while the “GOOD MORNING” T-shirt reflects on a tee marked with “Diptyque After Morning Sex.” Aside from tees, ALICE LAWRANCE has prepared pajama-inspired trousers and shorts that express a relaxed silhouette.
Other styles include a “French Kiss” Tee, a reference to Wong Kar-Wai‘s 1995 cult-favorite Fallen Angels and “LOVE HATE” smiley face that introduces a selection of accessories and lifestyle goods. Items include a set of four ceramic mugs that feature the aforementioned designs and extra-wide headbands.
