Tom Hiddleston Discusses 'Loki' Ahead of June Release
The show will answer questions many fans had after ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ about the character.
Just a few weeks ahead of its release, Loki star Tom Hiddleston has now appeared on Entertainment Weekly to discuss the upcoming Marvel series, shedding more light on the mischievous character’s first standalone project.
Explaining the rationale behind creating the show, Hiddleston said that he was primarily interested in answering some of the questions fans would’ve had about Loki following his disappearance in Avengers: Endgame. “Where’d he go? When does he go? How does he get there? These are all questions I remember asking on the day, and then not being given any answers,” the actor recalled.
He went on to explain that Loki will be the first time Thor’s adopted brother is thrust into an environment where he feels helpless and out of control: “[That] was very exciting because in the other films, there was always something about Loki that was very controlled,” Hiddleston continued. “He seemed to know exactly what the cards in his hand were and how he was going to play them…. And Loki versus the TVA is Loki out of control immediately, and in an environment in which he’s completely behind the pace, out of his comfort zone, destabilized, and acting out.”
Loki will arrive on Disney+ June 9.
Elsewhere in entertainment, new Spider-Man: No Way Home set images have emerged.
