Magnus Walker's 1971 Porsche 911 T “277” Inspired this Nike SB Dunk High
One of the noted Porsche collector’s most prized cars, in sneaker form.

Magnus Walker‘s impressive Porsche collection is the stuff of legend among petrol heads, and now one of his most prized cars is serving as inspiration for a new SB Dunk High from Nike‘s skate-focused Nike SB label. The car in question is Walker’s 1971 Porsche 911 T “277,” a customized creation that’s arguably his most known piece of automotive work and is replicated in painstaking detail on this high-top SB Dunk.
Though only a single photo is available, it shows an upper constructed of aged sail leather quarters and mudguards plus smooth leather heels and “flaps” with vibrant red piping. There’s also two different textile tones used: sail on the collar, red on the toebox. Swooshes, laces and tongue tags are presented in sky blue to match another color from Walker’s vehicle. From a special branding standpoint, you can see a familiar red “277” hit on the heel plus race-ready graphics on the lateral quarter and midsole. Rough-hewn collars, carefully-placed metal eyelets and a two-tone outsole round off the look.
As this is simply a first look at the Magnus Walker-inspired Nike SB Dunk High, there’s currently no release details or pricing information. However, Nike SB has already released two Porsche-themed takes on the SB Dunk Low in 2021 — the “Gulf” and the “Pink Pig” — so it’s certainly not unrealistic to think this high-top style will release later this summer or fall.
