Assouline has released the latest addition to its ‘Ultimate Title’ series of collector’s item, limited-run books, with the publication of Formula 1: The Impossible Collection – 100 Memorable Moments In The World’s Favorite Motorsport.
The 228-page title, written by the veteran F1 journalist Brad Spurgeon, gathers together the key events that have shaped the history of the sport, from technical innovations to the closest race finishes. Readers can expect to trace the journey of Formula 1 from the 1950s to today — and, in the process, how it became the world’s third-most popular sport in the world.
As to be expected, of course, it also features all of the most renowned drivers in F1’s history, from early figures like Enzo Ferrari all the way through to Lewis Hamilton.
The book also includes forewords by Jean Todt, the president of the FIA and Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of Formula One.
After some early disruption to the sport in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, F1 seems to be largely rebounding at a faster speed than many other sports. Earlier this month, HYPEBEAST spoke with Lando Norris about what looks to be a game-changing year for the driver.
Formula 1: The Impossible Collection – 100 Memorable Moments In The World’s Favorite Motorsport is available now from Assouline’s webstore, retailing for $995 USD.
And elsewhere in sports, Phil Mickelson has become the oldest Major Champion in golfing history.
