Lynder Invites You To Take In the Views of Its "EP.4 SUNSET WAVES" Collection
The latest evocative expression from the South Korean label.
Founded by designer Hansol Kim and artist Taehan Roh, fledgling South Korean Lynder has now delivered its latest expression of an encompassing view of the world through fashion and art. Titled “EP.4 SUNSET WAVES,” the range continues Lynder’s seasonless approach that focuses on episodic displays that tell an unfolding story through a fictional virtual world and accompanying clothing.
This time around, the artwork for the collection evokes both the form and feeling of the sunset and sea drawn from images of the Reynisdrangar region of Iceland and the musings of Japanese writer Hideyuki Kikuchi. Shot by photographer LESS and styled by Sonyabi, the evocative complementary lookbook captures Lynder’s purposefully defiant concept of eliciting emotions not familiarly associated with the spring and summer seasons.
Carrying a cohesive display of the colors of the sunset and sea that have been incorporated into the contemporary menswear staples of “EP.4 SUNSET WAVES.” For the collection, Lynder developed a matured statement of its understanding of masculinity through relaxed silhouettes and sharp lines inspired by the vast openness of the intoxicating sea. Defining many looks is the addition of harnesses, convertible folded layers, obscuring belt additions with pleated details that evoke a sense of security. Taking pride in its garments, Lynder has utilized the finest cotton, mercerization treated wool from lauded Japanese textile purveyor Oharayaseni and high tenacity Serafil thread from leading thread German name AMANN.
