Logic Shows off His Beatmaking Skills in New Track "My Favorite Song"
Following the release of his collab with Madlib.
Logic has dropped off yet another new track, naming this one-minute cut “My Favorite Song.”
The instrumental beat hears the artist sample The Kay-Gees’ 1974 track of the same name. Not much else about the new song is divulged by Logic, simply writing “Bobs beat” in the description. The arrival of “My Favorite Song” follows a steady stream of releases from the supposedly-retired rapper; earlier this January 2021, he unveiled his alter-ego Doctor Destruction’s debut album Planetory Destruction then followed it up with “Tired in Malibu,” a cut that hears him explicitly say that that he was “retired for a minute, but I guess I’m back man.”
The artist also unveiled a first listen to his collaborative MadGic project with Madlib, releasing the single “Mars Only pt. 3.” On the cut, Logic confirmed the existence of a full-length MadGic album, but refused to share when fans can expect it.
