Logic and Madlib Debut MadGic Project With New Single "Mars Only pt. 3"
“Made this whole album in a lockdown.”
Logic and Madlib have debuted their collaborative MadGic project with the single “Mars Only pt. 3.”
Clocking in at approximately three-and-a-half minutes, the track hears Logic rapping over a version of the 2005 Quasimoto (Madlib’s side project with his alter ego Lord Quas) track “Rappcats.” The supposedly-retired rapper name drops quite a bit on the collab and references everyone from Kanye West to Logic’s own alter ego Doc Destruction, MadGibbs‘ Bandana album, Dwayne Johnson, Kendrick Lamar‘s g.o.o.d kid m.A.A.d city and P. Diddy, and even confirms that he and Madlib “made this whole album in a lockdown.”
“Mars Only pt. 3” arrives just a few weeks after Logic dropped “Tired in Malibu,” where he seemingly shared that he’s bouncing back from retirement. Regardless of the release of both tracks, the Maryland rapper still hasn’t officially confirmed his return.
