Rob Gronkowski returned to his alma mater, the University of Arizona, last week for a unique special teams stunt. He surprised the college athletes in the same No. 48 Wildcats jersey he once sported when he played for the team back in 2007 to 2009.

The former Wildcats star and four-time Super Bowl winner was previously only meant to guest coach for a scrimmage over the weekend, but he took the field at Arizona Stadium to fulfill a Guinness World Record for the highest altitude catch ever to be done in the world. A football would drop from a helicopter, hovering over 600 feet up in the air. The footballer later confirmed it was a 625 feet catch.

The 31-year old NFL star missed the first two attempts and even showed frustration, slamming his helmet on the ground after one miss. However, on the third attempt, Gronk made the catch and was immediately celebrated and swarmed by the team. Gronk commented on his catch, “Every time you step on the field, you’ve got to raise the bar to another level, baby. And I just raised that bar to this level.”

Watch the insane record-breaking catch below.
