Having (possibly) ventured into automobiles, the U.K.-based fashion brand HYPE. takes to BMX’s and spaceships for its latest collaboration with Universal’s ‘80s cult classic E.T.

Inspired by its most memorable scenes, the nostalgia-evoking collection merges the iconography with modern-day trends. Wanting to capture the innocence of the viewer’s first time watching the movie, and transfer that feeling onto ready-to-wear garments, the designs include E.T.’s iconic phrase “Phone home.” Speaking on the importance of its latest collection, HYPE. says “Nostalgia is a huge part of our core brand values and overall outlook, so when the opportunity to work with Universal on E.T. The Extra Terrestrial was presented to us, instantly, we knew what the collection would look like and how it would play out.”

Featuring tie-dye patterns, colorful embroidery and out-of-this world graphics, the collection adopts a mainly monochrome color palette with blasts of purple, orange and grey accents. Boasting progressive tech details including 3M reflective fabric, waterproof zips and paracord trims the range is built for the unpredictability of British weather. The collaboration is then rounded off with soft-touch tracksuits inspired by the comfort of indoor movie nights.

HYPE. x Universal’s “E.T. The Extra Terrestrial” collection is now available to purchase from the brands website and select global retailers.
