Canadian brand nobis specializes in luxurious, weatherproof outerwear ideal for the eco-conscious traveler. Ethical construction and forward-thinking technologies are equally important to the brand, founded in 2007 by Canada Goose veteran Robin Yates. Spring/Summer 2021 is rife with staple silhouettes that are both breathable and reliable, guaranteeing their wearer the functionality necessary to handle the worst — and warmest — climes of the season.

Pale mint tones pervade the new lineup, accented by rich olive, bold red deep navy and even a smattering of camouflage. All of the garments are realized in the streamlined makeups that nobis has made its signature, complete with cutting-edge finishing that includes laminated membranes, water-repelling finishes and exterior shells that are both weatherproof and machine-washable. Adjustable pullcords, hardy snap buttons and seam-sealed zippers promise to keep the wearer free of any inclement exposure.

Spring/Summer 2021 introduces a few new fabrics, like 4-Way Durable Stretch Weave, Premium Stretch Ripstop and elasticated knits, all of which are manufactured responsibly, free from harmful materials. These and other lightweight textiles inform the classic shapes at the core of the collection, which range from essential bomber jackets and trench coats to parkas, hoodies and anoraks reformatted to prove extremely versatile.

“In developing this collection, we wanted to diversify our offering with new technical and sustainable constructions that focus on both style and comfort, while honoring nobis’ ongoing commitment to the environment and the global community,” said Yates in a statement. “Our latest designs look to push the boundaries within the luxury outerwear industry in an effort to adapt to our ever-changing climate.”
