Nike Running's ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% 2 is Race Day Ready
The top of the line runner gets reinforced with added comfortability and durability.
Nike and its elite lineup of NEXT% running silhouettes is already impressive to say the least, but it’s ready to further increase this season with the addition of its latest entry: the ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% 2. While not too unfamiliar in terms of its overall stature and shape, this latest piece of footwear features minor upgrades that will assist in the areas of comfortability and durability.
Familiar features of these sneakers include that of the full-length ZoomX foam which provides premium responsiveness and a cloud-like ride, longitudinal grooves in the rubber treading for ample traction and the full-length, articulated carbon plate shanked inside the middle to help for smoother transitions. Upgrades are found within the uppers which are engineered with softer, more breathable mesh, padded pockets at towards the heightened parts of the tongue which supply a more comfortable fit and reduced lace pressure, as well as improved forefoot cushioning for for containment and durability in high-wear striking regions.
The racing day silhouette’s inaugural colorways include a white/black as well as an aqua makeup. The former is now available to Nike members only, while the latter will see a public delivery via Nike come March 25 in select markets.
