TAG Heuer’s latest addition to its motorsport-infused Formula 1 collection represents the first time the brand has sold a watch directly to the public in the UK as an online exclusive.

It’s the latest development as the watch industry seeks to navigate a retail landscape ravaged globally, with many physical bricks and mortar retailers forced to close their doors to comply with COVID-19 restrictions.

The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Special Edition features a chequered flag motif which is picked out on its textured dial and engraved into its caseback.

The 43mm brushed stainless steel chronograph also features ceramic bezel and bracelet middle links, with bright yellow accents used to highlight its chronograph functionality and a 1/10th of a second quartz chronograph movement keeping time.

A driver’s extension is also included to allow the the bracelet to fit over a racing suit.

The Formula 1 Special Edition is available now via TAG Heuer priced £1,900 GBP ($2,645 USD).

Elsewhere in watches, Nomos celebrates 175 years of watchmaking in its hometown with three new Club automatics.
