TAG Heuer is celebrating 10 years of partnership with Oracle Red Bull Racing with a new Formula 1 Solargraph special edition, translating the team’s familiar racing colors into the brand’s compact, motorsport-rooted sports watch. The relationship dates back to 2016 and has since produced a succession of collaborative timepieces tied to Red Bull Racing’s rise through the modern Formula 1 era.
For the anniversary release, TAG Heuer turns to the 38mm Formula 1 Solargraph, itself rooted in the brightly colored Formula 1 watches that introduced a younger audience to Swiss watchmaking during the 1980s. The new edition combines that retro-informed silhouette with contemporary solar-powered technology, positioning the watch as both a celebration of the partnership’s first decade and a more youthful expression of TAG Heuer’s racing identity.
Oracle Red Bull Racing’s palette dominates the design, led by a blue sunray-brushed dial surrounded by a vivid red minute track and matched with a blue TH-Polylight bidirectional bezel. A yellow lacquered central seconds hand and matching outline around the 3 o’clock date window introduce another flash of team color, while black lacquered hour and minute hands and applied indexes are filled with white Super-LumiNova that glows green in low light. The 38mm sandblasted stainless-steel case brings a matte, technical finish to the brighter dial treatment and is paired with a three-row steel bracelet fitted with a folding clasp and adjustment extension.
On the other side, the solid steel caseback combines the Oracle Red Bull Racing logo with a checkered-flag motif, reinforcing the motorsport connection without adding further branding to the already vibrant dial. The watch is powered by the Caliber TH50-00 Solargraph movement, which uses natural and artificial light to recharge its battery. Exposing the dial to direct sunlight for one minute provides enough power for a full day of operation, and a full charge of 40 hours yields up to ten months of continuous running time in total darkness. Packaged in a custom box reflecting the team’s visual identity, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph x Oracle Red Bull Racing is available through the brand’s website and boutiques, retailnig fora $2,250 USD.
