Nike is Frying Up the Air Max 90 "Bacon" Again To Celebrate Air Max Day
The Swoosh has announced that Dave Ortiz’s 2004 classic will re-release for Air Max Day 2021.

Ahead of Air Max Day 2021,
“Sail” and “Straw” are the two primary colors used, appearing on the leather toebox and quarter plus the suede mudgard. What really drives the “Bacon” inspiration home, however, is the rich red on the midfoot, below the throat and on the toe cap plus the lively pink on the Swooshes and tongue alike. Brown is introduced into the mix on the eyestays, midfoot window, tongue tag and heel badge — the last two pieces of which boast red (tag) and pink (heel) Nike Sportswear branding. This assemblage is largely faithful to the original pair, though some pundits have noted that the base shades appear slightly lighter than the original release.
Two-tone tan and brown midsoles house a pink Air Max unit and work with a brown outsole to complete the look. The shoes also come packaged with a trifecta of lace options, and, if the images posted by the Swoosh are any indication, will come wrapped in a special branded shrink wrap bag.
Look for the Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon” to release on Nike SNKRS come Air Max Day, March 26 for $140 USD. Pairs are also available on GOAT now.
