A Closer Look at Nike's Upcoming Air Max 2090 EOI
Showcasing the “Evolution of Icons.”
After Nike previewed the design along with the rest of its Air Max Spring 2021 collection earlier this year, the Air Max 2090 EOI has now received a closer look. The sneaker’s EOI moniker stands for “Evolution of Icons,” and gives a hint to the sneaker’s inspirations, which includes references to some of the best-loved Air Max releases from over the years.
The sneaker’s design pays tribute to the Air Max 90, with a range of materials across the upper in honor of the silhouette. Additionally, the Infrared-inspired colorway recalls a previous design, as hits of “Bright Crimson” sit alongside “Racer Blue” and “Summit White.” Marking a departure from the Air Max 90, the silhouette features more Air padding in its sole unit, recalling the Air Max 270.
