New Balance Continues CNY Celebrations with Two Festive 574s
Both feature rich red, black and gold color schemes.

Chinese New Year may be well in the rearview mirror, but the party never stops for New Balance. After releasing a 2002R “Year of the Ox” and a 920 “Year of the Ox,” the Boston-based footwear brand has prepped two CNY-centric takes on its 574. One is bright and bold while the other is more muted, but both use a familiar holiday color scheme to drive home their festive inspiration.
First up is a “Team Red” colorway that accents its rich red upper with a black midfoot N logo trimmed in gold, a black heel tab with gold branding and black details around the midfoot. Next is a “Black” makeup that opts for a dark and stark upper, relegating red to the heel tab and around the collar while retaining the same gold-trimmed black midfoot logo as its compatriot. Both also feature special gold branding on the tongue tag and a leaping bull on the insole. Two-tone ENCAP midsoles and black rubber outsoles complete both looks.
The New Balance 574 Chinese New Year collection is available now on the New Balance webstore. Each pair is priced at $80 USD.
