Arc'teryx Spring 2021 Elegantly Dresses Down Adventurewear
The Canadian outdoor staple offers a blend of stylish shapes and hardwearing utility.
Thanks to collaborations with brands like Palace and BEAMS and a plethora of celebrity co-signs, Arc’teryx is well and truly a streetwear mainstay, despite its own team’s reported indifference. For Spring 2021, the brand flexes its stylistic muscle, demonstrating the inherent appeal of its own sleek designs without sacrificing a lick of functional appeal.
Though its surf goods aren’t present — perhaps something to look for closer to summer — Arc’teryx does highlight a vast selection of rugged gear ideal for hardcore hikes and casual daily strolls. Signature items are gently revamped, like the Atom LT Hoody and Zeta SL and Beta AR jackets, which offer the same effortless cut in some new color options with essential Coreloft, GORE-TEX and PACLITE infusions that ensure comfort in cooler, wet climes.
On the flip side, as sunnier and warmer weather breaks up the clouds, Arc’teryx has more packable Squamish and Remige Hoodys, protective against wind and UPF but lightweight enough to be comfortable in heat. Throughout, the looks are styled with Arc’teryx’s in-house sneakers and plenty of tough trousers and shorts, underscoring the modular approach the brand takes to transitional style.
