BEAMS Douses Exclusive Arc'teryx Capsule in Tonal Gray
Stylishly muted bags and the Zeta SL jacket.
Before Arc’teryx became streetwear’s latest obsession, the Canadian label was already collaborating with Japanese retailer BEAMS. Exclusive bags and outerwear has emerged nearly every season for the past several years and Spring 2021 is no exception, as the duo reunite for a collection of quietly cool all-gray items.
Split between BEAMS proper and the BEAMS BOY sub-label (ostensibly womenswear but occasionally genderless), the new collaboration is heavy on bags, but also includes a weatherproof Zeta SL Jacket realized with GORE-TEX lining. It also sports a white logo on the sleeve — appropriate given the newfound appreciation for Arc’s subtly stylish branding.
Three types of bags accompany the jacket: the Arro 22, 8 and a waist pack. Each is offered in complementary shades of gray and the 22 backpack even sports a matching front pouch, a feature exclusive to this collaboration. BEAMS BOY opts for colorful yellow zippers atop its bags, making for a more playful set of accessories.
