'Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2' Is Coming to Next-Gen Consoles and Nintendo Switch
Expect a variety of graphical enhancements and access to retro skins.
Activision announced today that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is on its way to next-gen platforms and Nintendo Switch. The game, a remaster of the franchise’s first two installments, will arrive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on March 26 and to Switch at an unspecified date this year.
The upcoming version will feature graphical enhancements — including 120 FPS at 1080P, native 4K at 60 FPS, spatial audio — allowing fans to enjoy sharper and dynamic more shadows, reflections and lens flares, and skater textures. The upgrade will also grant access to the secret skater Ripper, retro gear in Create-A-Skater mode, and old-school skins for Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero and Rodney Mullen.
Preorders for the game open today in several regions. Digital players who own the game already on PS4 or Xbox One can upgrade for $10 USD, and those who own the digital deluxe version will receive the upgrade for free (except in Japan).
The release was teased yesterday in a Twitter exchange between Hawk and Crash Bandicoot, following the announcement that Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time would be arriving to next-gen platforms and Switch on March 12.
