Official Images of the adidas YEEZY 450 "Cloud White"
A release for ‘Ye’s wildest — and longest-teased — model may finally be imminent.
There’s always been a great deal of speculation around Kanye West and adidas‘ YEEZY 450. It’s been making the rounds on social media since 2018, spotted in sample form and on the feet of West himself several times, and been compared to everything from soup dumplings to sci-fi footwear. It’s even been hard to pin down a name for — several times, it’s been referred to as the YEEZY 451, as the YEEZY 450 was originally thought to be a slide. However, the oft-teased adidas YEEZY silhouette’s three-year long rollout may finally be coming to a blissful end as official images of its “Cloud White” colorway have been revealed.
Combining a slim, socklike upper with a bulbous, ridged one-piece EVA midsole/outsole unit that rises high onto the upper, the 450 is incomparable to past YEEZY releases. Its highly conceptual, Steven Smith-crafted look is also completely devoid of outward-facing branding: the only branded strike at all is present on the insole.
