Reebok DESIGNED by BlackEyePatch Looks to Skate Culture for SS21 Collab
Two new Zig Kinetica II colorways and an apparel capsule.

Reebok has teamed up with Japan’s BlackEyePatch to drop a Spring/Summer 2021 collaboration. This release takes inspiration from ’90s skate culture.
Titled “Reebok DESIGNED by BlackEyePatch”, the collection reworks the Zig Kinetica II in two colorways of black and white. The black silhouette is covered in overlays of wavy lines on the uppers, with a grid-like construction across the toebox for textures, while dreamy wave patterns in white and ash hit the side panels. Hints of white appear on the shoelaces and the heel tab along with branding to create a subtle contrast. This is further distinguished at the lower heel with the “Zig” logo and outsole in white. For the alternate pair, the color distribution is pretty much reversed – white uppers are contrasted by a black heel and collar, minus the addition of the cream tones on the tongue.
The softgoods releasing with the sneaker pack explore a playful recreation of Reebok’s logo with inspiration from retro skateboarding graphics, showcased in jackets, a long-sleeved T-shirt and sweatpants. The two fashion labels have also teased three types of footwear and apparel coming for its second installment, including the classic models Club C Legacy and Classic Slide.
The first release for the Reebok’s DESIGNED by BlackEyePatch 2021 Spring/Summer collaboration is now available at Reebok’s official website.
