Wood Wood and FILA Serve up Tennis-Inspired Collection

Celebrating the great players of the ’70s.

Copenhagen-based Wood Wood has followed up its recent Spring/Summer 2021 collection by debuting a new collaboration with FILA. The latest release from the Danish label and the heritage sports brand is inspired by tennis, with a particular focus on the greats of the sport who graced the court in the 1970s.

Paying tribute to that era of tennis, the collection features a color palette mixing brown, orange and off-white, while silhouettes and detail reference the clothing worn by tennis players. The collection itself covers both on-court and off-court wear, with materials such as breathable cotton, brushed fleece and merino wool all featuring prominently. All of the items — ranging from headwear and socks to matching tracksuits — feature a specially-designed FILA by Wood Wood logo.

Rounding out the collection — and continuing the tennis inspiration — is a pair of all-white tennis shoes. The simple leather upper is contrasted against the black and red collaborative logo that adorns the tongue.

The full FILA by Wood Wood collection will release at Wood Wood’s web store on February 4, before hitting the FILA web store and select stockists on February 25.

In other fashion news, A Kind of Guise recently presented its SS21 collection.
