Pieter Ceizer Crafts Cheerful Wooden Sculptures for Valentine's Day
Featuring positive “Keep Smiling” and “Love” messages.

Paris-based artist Pieter Ceizer has readied two cheerful wooden sculptures for Valentine’s Day. Following up his recent partnership with the Van Gogh Museum — which saw him reinterpret Vincent Van Gogh’s Quinces, Lemons, Pears and Grapes — Ciezer’s latest happy-go-lucky designs offer happy motifs and hand-crafted construction.
Arriving in Keep Smiling or Love builds, each of Ceizer’s grin-inducing sculptures stand 10 inches tall. Both are made entirely of wood and painted by hand. First up is the “Keep Smiling,” which offers a round shape, a dandelion yellow tone and a black print. Next is the timely “Love,” which features a fitting heart shape and is done up in candy pink with red details. Both feature extended arms as if they were offering a warm embrace and come packaged in a branded wooden case. Each is also limited to a scant run of only 10 hand-signed/numbered units and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Look for Pieter Ceizer’s “Keep Smiling” and “Love” figures to release on the Studio Ceizer webstore come February 3 at 12 PM EST. Each is priced at €275 EUR (approximately $331 USD).
