Michael Jordan's Mercedes-Benz S600 Lorinser Is up for Grabs Again

The previously Michael Jordan-owned 1996 Mercedes-Benz S600 Coupe by Lorinser that sold back in August 2020 is up for grabs once again, this time appearing on Bring a Trailer.

It’s the exact car that was seen in The Last Dance documentary and stands as a considerable piece of MJ memorabilia, seeing he added over 157,000 miles to the car while it was in his possession. However, we don’t blame him for running it in thoroughly, as the S600 came with a thumping six-liter V12 engine that produced 389 HP and 420 ft-lb of torque when new.

Coupled with its long, low, and wide stance, the S600 by Lorinser is an imposing machine and one that’s only accentuated by its “Dark Metallic Blue” paint job and Lorinser add-ons. These include a new spoiler, 20-inch chrome rims, and a Lorinser squared dual-tip exhaust finisher, which is good for delivering a low and deep sound from the engine.

Inside, you’ll find more unique touches such as the factory phone system that reads “Jordan” when engaged, as well as luxurious finishes such as two-tone leather upholstery, wood interior trim, heated and power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, a sunroof, and an Alpine head unit. Rounding out the list of luxuries is internal tech that was advanced for its time, such as the ESP traction control and hydropneumatic suspension with adaptive dampening and self-leveling capabilities.

After selling for $202,000 USD on its eBay listing held by Beverly Hills Car Club, the car now finds itself back on the auction block with current bids sitting well below the original sale at just $23,486 USD as of writing.
