adidas Originals' Supercar-Inspired Racing 1 Drops in Apt Red Colorway
Complete with go-faster Three Stripes served in black leather.
adidas Originals continues to pay homage to its running heritage with its latest Racing 1 offering, this time around appearing in a vibrant shade of red.
Following on from the “Blue/Red” and “Gold/Blue” pairs, this colorway continues the OG retro theme as its suede is doused in the bright red hue. Its design takes after sportscars, which is evidently seen throughout the sneaker’s streamlined design and more prominently at areas such as the midsole, which extends past the heel like a spoiler on a car. Other nods come from the overall aerodynamic look as the toe box comes to a neat point, and its side-profile that slopes down from the rear to the toe.
As such, its new red colorway couldn’t be any more apt. Contrasting the suede and breathable mesh upper is the Three Stripes finished in black leather, which is continued to the rear where the heel is also dressed in the same leather and is complete with a red adidas Trefoil logo. Quick lacing on the tongue complete with D-ring eyelets and a stamped adidas logo round out the Racing 1 sneaker.
