MINI has unveiled a new trim commemorating Northern Ireland’s Patrick Hopkirk and his 1964 Monte Carlo rally win.
This track demon (available for the Cooper S 3-door, 5-door, and John Cooper Works versions) features the full Patrick ‘Paddy’ Hopkirk makeover with a Chili Red paint job, white roof, a signed hood stripe, and “37” graphic. Other upgrades include 17-inch JCW performance wheels, stiffened suspension, fog lights, a JCW sport leather-wrapped steering wheel, auxiliary lights, and Paddy Hopkirk Edition interior branding. The John Cooper Works version will have 18-inch Style 506 wheels with adaptive LED headlamps.
Both the Cooper S 3-door and 5-door are powered by a 2.0-liter engine that puts down 189 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque. The JCW variant is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that makes 228 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque. The Cooper S and JCW retail for approximately $43,000 USD and $53,650 USD, respectively.
Currently, the 2021 Paddy Hopkirk Edition MINI is available to order in Australia with only 65 units made per model.
