Blackmagic Design has improved upon its compact cinema powerhouse, the Blackmagic Pocket. Borrowing some elements from its big brother, the URSA Mini Pro, the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro features the same Generation 5 color science and new dynamic 12-bit gamma curve.
Some of the upgraded specs include carbon fiber polycarbonate composite construction, a 6144 x 3456 Super 35 sensor, motorized ND filters (2, 4 and 6 stop), 25,600 ISO range, a 5-inch adjustable HDR 1500 nit touch LCD screen, and NP-F570 battery compatibility (battery Pro Grip optional). For the extra-bright days, Blackmagic has also put out an optional 1280×960 color OLED Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera Pro EVF for an extra $495 USD. Those interested in adding this to their kit can find it over at Blackmagic Design for a price of $2,495 USD.
