Initially rumored last year, Burger King has now confirmed its plans to launch a new Hand-Breaded Crispy Chicken Sandwich this year.

The chain will be entering the Chicken Wars with both Original and Spicy options of the new menu item. The newly developed Hand-Breaded Crispy Chicken Sandwich is centered around a “thick cut white meat chicken breast that is freshly breaded by hand for a bite that is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.” Accompaniments come in the form of deli pickles and a fluffy potato bun. Customers also have the option to add iceberg lettuce and tomato for extra crunch and texture.

Reportedly in development since 2019 and tested all throughout 2020, Burger King’s new Hand-Breaded Crispy Chicken Sandwich will be coming in the next few months.
