Judd Apatow's 'The Bubble' Will Be a COVID-19-Inspired Comedy
Starring Pedro Pascal, Maria Bakalova and Karen Gillan, to mention a few.

Judd Apatow, who gave us comedy classics like Superbad and The 40-Year-Old Virgin, is working on a new movie, and it’s going to be a COVID-19-inspired comedy.
The movie will be called The Bubble, starring The Mandalorian actor Pedro Pascal, Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy), and breakout actress Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm). According to sources, the movie is inspired by the real-life experiences of the cast of Jurassic Park: Dominion who suffered a grueling, drawn-out filming schedule brought on by the pandemic.
The Bubble‘s plot won’t be directly related to what happened with that crew, but it will mimic some of the situations they found themselves in: quarantining for months away from family. Much of the movie’s setting will reportedly take place in a hotel where Pascal and Gillan will take on the role of actors of a fictional movie. Other names to be cast in The Bubble include Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Armisen, Leslie Mann, and David Duchovny, to mention a few. Production is expected to begin next week.
