Kyrie Irving and Concepts have been collaborative cohorts since the release of the
Mesh uppers are dressed in a bright ocean blue, while the midsoles take on vibrant orange tones for a colorblocking scheme similar to the one seen on the SB Dunk Low “Gulf.” Though this is a coincidence, the wide swath of special detailing is entirely intentional. The lateral side equips a metallic gold winged Swoosh, while the lateral side presents a large gold Eye of Horus graphic, one of Kyrie’s signature symbols. Both the lace anchor and the bottom two eyestays feature more special Egyptian symbols, ranging from an all-seeing eye to an ankh.
Tongues and laces switch to a powder blue for contrast, and the right shoe swaps its standard Kyrie tongue and insole branding out for Concepts hits. White and blue gingham embroidery on the collar lining calls to mind images of Concepts’ SB Dunk Low “Lobster” collection, with more gold Concepts branding embroidered on each heel. An Air Zoom Turbo unit is loaded into the banked midsole for exemplary feel, and the look is completed with a “44 1/2” detail on the outsole plus a “His Legacy Is Going to Live On Forever” text hit wrapping around the rear.
At the time of writing, an official release date and pricing information for the Concepts x Nike Kyrie 7 have yet to be revealed. However, it’ll likely debut later this year.
