POC Releases Its Lightest Ever Cycling Helmet
Weighing a mere 190 grams.
POC’s penchant for innovation has shown no limits recently. After releasing the first self-powered cycling helmet last week, the Swedish label has stripped everything back to unveils its lightest ever helmet.
Weighing a mere 190 grams, the Ventral Lite has been designed for those who prioritize both weight and ventilation. Drawing on design aspects from various lightweight POC helmets, the brand has tweaked every aspect of the Ventral Lite, from its adjustment system and straps, to the liner and shell, each of which has been optimized for the lowest weight possible.
Despite its weight, the helmet continues to exceed both safety and protective regulations, with its structure refined so that a different density of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) can be used and the outer shell is more precisely formed.
POC’s Ventral Lite helmet is available to buy now from the brand’s online webstore, retailing at €270 (approximately $330 USD).
