UPDATE: Tiger Woods Is Responsive and in Recovery Following Car Accident in Los Angeles
He suffered injuries to his right lower leg and ankle.
UPDATE (2/24/21, 10:07 a.m. EST): Tiger Woods is responsive and in recovery following a Tuesday single-car accident, according to a statement released on his Twitter account. He received surgery at Harbor UCLA Medical Center for injuries to his “right lower extremity,” including those to his foot and ankle and fractures affecting the upper and lower tibia and fibula bones.
The statement thanks fans again for their well-wishes and for granting privacy at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY (2/23/21, 3:26 p.m. EST): Tiger Woods is currently in surgery following a single-car accident in Los Angeles. Woods was the only passenger in the vehicle, which rolled over and sustained major damage traveling on the border of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes at approximately 7:12 a.m. this morning, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
His agent Mark Steinberg told Golf Digest that Woods suffered “multiple” leg injuries and thanked the public for granting privacy and support at this time.
