Dior Is Postponing Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Collaboration Indefinitely
The collection was originally slated to release during Summer 2022.

There’s no doubt that it’s going to take a significant amount of time for Travis Scott to recover from the tragic events that occurred at his most recent Astrowrold Festival in November. Prior to the event, it wasn’t any secret that the Houston rapper had his finger in various corners of pop culture including that of shoe collabs with Nike and Jordan Brand, Fortnite partnerships, his own spiked seltzer CACTI line and more, but given the sensitivity of the situation, a handful of his affiliated partners are gradually starting to either disassociate themselves or hold back on rolling out any of his forthcoming initiatives. The latest is Dior who just announced that it will be postponing Scott’s Cactus Jack collaboration indefinitely.
In an exclusive statement released to WWD, the French luxury house stated “Out of respect for everyone affected by the tragic events at Astroworld, Dior has decided to postpone indefinitely the launch of products from the Cactus Jack collaboration originally intended to be included in its summer 2022 collection.”
The men’s collection — which was comprised of luxe apparel pieces, tees that paid tribute to the late Pop Smoke, sneakers and more — first walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year and was expected to start rolling out during Summer 2022. Much like his footwear team-ups with the Swoosh, it’s still unclear whether or not the pieces will eventually drop to the public, but a source familiar with the situation says this was a mutual decision made by both Dior and Travis Scott to postpone the upcoming collection due in January 2022 with both parties working to reschedule the launch at a later date.
In case you missed it, Dior recently appointed Kylian Mbappé as its newest global ambassador.
