Solebox's adidas EQT Prototype Collaboration is Inspired By Vintage Racing Suits
Limited to 300 pairs.

The adidas EQT line is a significant piece of the Three Stripes history, and to celebrate its 30th anniversary, the German sportswear brand is tapping multiple retailers across the globe to lend a helping hand in reimagining its models. So far, adidas has unveiled its projects with the likes of Extra Butter, Sneaker Politics, Footpatrol and more, and now it’s presenting its EQT Prototype offering with Solebox.
For this initiative, Solebox goes full throttle and takes us back to the old days of Grand Prix racing. Being that the Prototype was initially supposed to be called the “Racer” model, European retailer took this notion to heart and crafted this makeup with a palette that channels the aesthetic of vintage racing suits. Synthetic underlays are dialed to a crisp white and feature gridded patterns while the zig-zagged overlays are pre-yellowed to speak to its throwback motif. Subtle notes of gray pop up atop the suede overlays and striped laces while small doses of red appear on the tabs and “Equipment” spell outs that rest on the lower ends of the throat.
Solebox goes all out with the packaging for the kicks as each pair is housed within a model vehicle-inspired box. Only 300 pairs have been produced, and every 10th customer who purchases also receives the model car. Check out a closer look above and note that these are dropping on October 23 via Solebox’s website and its stores.
