HBO Renews 'Succession' for Fourth Season
Shortly after the Emmy-winning series premiered its third season.
HBO has officially renewed its Emmy-winning drama series Succession for a fourth season.
The news arrives just two episodes in the latest season, with the season premiere earning over 1.4 million viewers across all platforms and setting a record for the best launch night on HBO Max. Deadline also reports that Season 3 saw a 13% increase in viewership since its predecessor.
“With each season of Succession, Jesse Armstrong has continued to surpass our wildest expectations, pulling us deeper into the Roy family’s inner sanctum with indelible wit, humanity and precision. This season is undoubtedly no exception, and we couldn’t be more excited for all that’s in store in this next season ahead, Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO Programming, said in a statement.
The beginning of the third season sees Logan Roy, portrayed by Brian Cox, prepare for an all-out war with his son Kendall, portrayed by Jeremy Strong, by attempting to team up with his other children Shiv and Roman, played by Sarah Snook and Kieran Culkin respectively. Also returning are Alan Ruck, Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen, Peter Friedman, J. Smith-Cameron, Dagmara Dominczyk, Justine Lupe, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Arian Moayed, Harriet Walter, James Cromwell, Natalie Gold, Juliana Canfield, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Zoë Winters and Jeannie Berlin, while Alexander Skarsgård, Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond, Jihae, Adrien Brody, Hope Davis and Dasha Nekrasova join the cast.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Dune: Part 2 is officially in the works.
