After presenting designer Yuta Hosokawa‘s “-YES-” exhibition at the Kaikai Kiki Gallery, Takashi Murakami has now collaborated with Hosokawa and Cali Thornhill DeWitt‘s © SAINT M ×××××× label on a duo of artful T-shirts.
The Takashi Murakami x © SAINT M ×××××× Graff and Mush Tee release is centered around iconography and distinct visual sensibility associated with the Japanese artist. The Graff Tee features icons like Melting DOB and various works from his “Superflat” series, alongside the JESUS rendition designed for Travis Scott, Ko² from his figure project, HIROPON and My Lonesome characters. While the Mush Tee draws from a motif found in Murakami’s large-scale Super Nova 1999 artwork marked with the evocative phrase “MORAL PANIC.” Each 100% mid-weight cotton tee is specially made in Japan and features a vintage look and feel achieved through custom worn effect processes.
Priced at ¥55,000 and ¥41,800 JPY (approximately $482 and $366 USD), the Takashi Murakami x © SAINT M ×××××× Graff and Mush Tees are available via Tonari no Zingaro.
