STORY mfg. Celebrates Artistry and Craft for FW21
Reworking staple pieces and unveiling new techniques and colors.

Fresh from revealing its vegan collaboration with Reebok, STORY mfg. has released the lookbook for its upcoming Fall/Winter 2021 collection. For this collection — titled “Make Worlds” — STORY mfg. has stuck true to a range of themes central the label, including “a love for the earth, craft, plants, happiness and good friends.”
Throughout the collection, familiar STORY mfg. silhouettes and pieces are given subtle updates. The Polite Pullover — a seasonal favorite — as well as the Helix jacket, crochet Piece scarf and the Shore shirt. Elsewhere, the label places a strong emphasis on artistry and craft. This sees natural dyeing techniques mixed with modern CNC-cut shapes to create new patterns, while designs from wax batik artists sits alongside tie-dye sections and block printers collaborate with illustrators to create new items.
Another highlight from the collection is the use of a handwoven spiral fabric, which is used on matching jackets and trousers as well as accessories, all of which will release for pre-order separately from the main collection. Graphic T-shirts in the collection include the phrase “get some rest, sleepy head,” while a color palette ranging from black and navy blue to vivid purple and bright green is created using natural dyes such as ancient dye plants, heartwood, roots, berries and earth.
The pre-order pieces will be available from the STORY mfg. web store for the next week, with the collection set to arrive in time for FW21.
