Paramount Pictures Releases Latest Trailer for 'The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run'
Featuring Snoop Dogg and Keanu Reeves.
Paramount Pictures‘ latest trailer for The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run reveals a closer look at special appearances from Snoop Dogg and Keanu Reeves. Other big names like Tiffany Handdish, Awkwafina, and Danny Trejo are expected to make a cameo appearance, as well.
This is the third SpongeBob movie and the prequel to the highly admired TV show. The film follows unlikely best friends, SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick as they try to rescue SpongeBob’s pet companion, Gary the Snail. The movie takes fans back in time when they all first met in Bikini Bottom. The plot focuses on the characters’ adventures and mischiefs while meeting a slew of memorable characters throughout the storyline.
The film features a special soundtrack from J Balvin and Tainy, who released their collaborative song, “Agua” last July. Swae Lee, Tyga, and Lil Mosey are expected to release another single for the film, titled “Krabby Step” in November.
The first Sponge on the Run trailer dropped in November 2019, along with a rumor that Squidward would receive its own spinoff on Netflix. Though there is no word regarding a Squidward-centric show, Nickelodeon has developed a Patrick-based series, The Patrick Star Show.
The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run premiers on March 4 on Paramount+ and is available on Premium Video On Demand.
