New material from the late Pop Smoke is apparently on its way.

The news was subtly revealed by Steven Victor, the founder of the record label Pop Smoke was signed to, via a series of Instagram comments. The music exec first shared an image of what seems to be a collaboration with HUMAN MADE, then took to the post’s comments section to respond to fan questions about the late rapper. One listener directly asked “New pop coming?” to which Victor simply confirmed with “yes.” Another commented regarding a particular collaboration, writing, “Clear pop’s verses, especially for fredo x young adz x pop smoke,” and the label head replied, “cleared coming soon.”

Pop Smoke’s debut album Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon dropped in July 2020 and opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. This beloved project made him the only hip-hop artist to posthumously gain a chart-topper with a debut effort, and one of the only few hip-hop acts (joining the likes of 2Pac and Biggie Smalls) to hit No. 1 posthumously. As of writing, the record has spent 29 weeks on the chart and only one week away from the top 10.

Elsewhere in music, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland are planning a 2Pac and Biggie Smalls VERZUZ battle.
