La Sportiva Drops Its GORE-TEX-Covered Mountain Runners
Equipped with invisible fit technology and a super-responsive midsole.
Italian outdoors aficionados La Sportiva has a long history in shoe making. Founded in 1928, the label started out by making footwear for farmers, before crafting boots for the Italian army during the Second World War. Soon after, the brand delved into the world of mountaineering, climbing and skiing footwear — a sector it’s firmly cemented itself in ever since.
Now for 2021 the Italian label introduces its mountain-running focused Jackal GTX sneaker. Adorned in an all-over GORE-TEX membrane, this winter runner comes equipped with invisible fit technology and exceptional cushioning thanks to an innovative energy return midsole.
Its sandwich mesh upper and thermo-adhesive TPU reinforcements make for a super-protective ride, while the nylon side panels still allow your feet to breathe.
Arriving in either “Opal/Grass Green”, “Black/Aquarius” or black/yellow, La Sportiva’s Jacket GTX sneakers are available now from the brand’s online webstore, retailing at €196.90 (approximately $240 USD).
In other sneaker news, Haven has presented its exclusive Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low in a “Black/Anthracite” colorway.
