A Closer Look at Craig Green's Orthopedic adidas Concept Shoe
As seen in his SS21 collection showcase.

Back in October 2020, British designer Craig Green showcased his Spring/Summer 2021 collection which HYPEBEAST helmed as “possibly his finest to date.” Within this collection was not just new styles from his partnership with adidas Originals, but also the first look at a concept pair made in collaboration with the Three Striped sportswear giant.
Now, Craig Green has given us a closer look at the orthopedic boot debuted in the SS21 collection. The concept silhouette is reminiscent of controlled ankle motion walking boots like the ones you’d wear after a foot or ankle injury, however, they have been given a typically luxurious update at the hands of Green.
Served in white, black, or tan, the foot braces are made from leather and feature a gladiator sandal-like construction. Cutouts at the toe, mid-section, heel, and higher up by the ankle work alongside a flat footbed like you’d find on a gladiator, while a chunky zip running the full length of the rear and dual branding on the lateral-side collar add a fashion-forward edge to the pairs.
Rounding out the design is its heavily visible stitching that runs across the toe area and up the vamp. As mentioned, the Craig Green x adidas boot-sandal hybrid seen above is just a concept, and there is no plan to put these into production thus far. Take a closer look at the pairs above.
