Quench Your Sneaker Thirst With the adidas ZX 8000 "Frozen Lemonade"
adidas’ A-ZX series crosses the “F” off its list.
Summer is still but a few months away, but adidas‘ A-ZX series is already getting prepped for the warmer season as it has crafted the ZX 8000 with a refreshing “Frozen Lemonade” theme. This latest take follows shortly after the 26-piece collection unveiled its fluorescent “Bright Yellow” and “Vieux Lyon” ZX 5000 installments.
The color schemes brought into play here work together harmoniously to portray the tasteful aesthetic of the summer cool down beverage and serve as a playful remix of the ever-popular “Citrus” ZX rendition from the late 80s. Mesh underlays, laces and throat overlays are lent a neutral ivory background, which in turn opens up the gates for the citrus-y accents to act as the stars of the show. Overlays mirror that of the frozen drink by showing out in a faint yellow hue, and wrap the forefoot and heels. Additional accents are sprawled via more a saturated yellow which dresses the liners, lower mid-foot and toe box notes, while lime-like greens touch the tongue tabs and rear netting. Moreover, bursts of minty green latch onto the lace cages and midsole molds shanked into the forefoot.
On the inside, you’ll find the insoles printed out with actual frozen lemonade ingredients, as well as lemon graphics that assist in making out the tongue’s interior ZX 8000 branding.
Interested parties can expect these thirst-quenching kicks to release globally on January 29 for $120 USD via adidas and select stockists.
