adidas Crafts New UltraBOOST DNA for Patrick Mahomes
The championship-ready kicks will accompany the Chiefs QB to Super Bowl LV.
Patrick Mahomes is headed back to the Super Bowl after his Kansas City Chiefs vanquished the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship Game, and adidas has ensured its star football pitchman will have some new kicks with him for the big game with the release of a new Mahomes-themed UltraBOOST DNA. Featuring a patterned upper and golden details that seemingly nod to Mahomes’ championship pedigree, the shoes combine casual style with some of adidas Running‘s most popular technology for a hybrid look that’s just as unique as the game of the QB they were designed for.
In true UltraBOOST fashion, the uppers are constructed of stretchy Primeknit. Here, this sock-like knit material is dressed in black and covered from heel to toe in a white dotted pattern. Some of the shoe features larger dots, other parts smaller, but all seem to be based around the metallic gold detailing on the Three Stripe midfoot cage and heel clip. A semi-translucent smoky black toe bumper works with the heel clip and midfoot Torsion bar to provide stability, and a black BOOST midsole teams with black Continental rubber outsoles for signature cushioning and traction. The look is finalized by a special Mahomes graphic on the insole.
