2021 is set to be a big year for adidas Cycling. After recently launching its first set of cleats in over 15 year years, the brand has teased a number of other forthcoming releases from its rejuvenated cycling line.

Now though, in-keeping with the cycling theme and drawing on inspiration from the sport and the jerseys worn throughout the 1970s, adidas Originals has introduced two lifestyle iterations of its Padiham sneaker.

Drawing design cues from the woollen cycling jerseys worn throughout the ‘70s, each silhouette is crafted with a lightweight suede and features a serrated lace collar and shorted t-toe overlay.

A “Spice Orange” colorway adorns red, white and blue stripes and sits atop a white rubber sole, while a “Glow Pink” iteration sits above a classic gum sole and is accompanied by the same striped combination. Further enhanced with a comfortable leather lining, each sneaker is finished with a classic branded tongue, replacing the usual Trefoil moniker with subtle perforated and stitch detailing.

The adidas Padiham “Spice Orange” and “Glow Pink” is available to buy now from Aphrodite, retailing at £75.00 (approximately $105 USD).

In other sneaker news, adidas has shared additional colorways of its forthcoming UltraBOOST 21 sneaker.
