Lil Wayne Transforms Through Different Career Eras in New "Big Worm" Music Video
From his ‘Funeral (Deluxe)’ album.
Lil Wayne made headlines late last week when his legendary mixtape No Ceilings finally arrived on traditional streaming services after 11 long years. Wayne’s momentum has remained steady throughout the year following the release of his latest album Funeral and the subsequent Funeral (Deluxe) release. Today he returns with a new music video for track three, “Big Worm.”
The music video is notable because it utilizes facial recognition technology to track Lil Wayne throughout the various stages of his career, his expression transforming in real-time and aging before our eyes with hair styles morphing to match his growth from Hot Boys era teen wunderkind through his early Carter offerings all the way to modern day.
Earlier this month A$AP Ferg tapped Lil Wayne for a tribute single titled “No Ceilings” released just days before the actual project debuted on streaming services. In August, Wayne confirmed that both the Tha Carter VI and No Ceilings 3 are going to release in the near future. “[Tha] Carter VI is coming soon, but I got No Ceilings coming first. No Ceilings 3,” he excitedly shared with ESPN.
