Dickies Life Partners With Hackney Bumps for Community-Focused Capsule
Helping the group raise money for its skatepark regeneration project in East London.
After launching its Urban Utility collection earlier this month, Dickies Life has now announced a new partnership with the Hackney Bumps Community Group. For this project, Dickies has teamed up with the grassroots community project and skatepark to release a collaborative apparel collection to raise funds.
The limited-edition collection features the Lined Eisenhower Jacket Double Knee Work Pants and Elizaville Women’s Work Pants, all of which come in black and featuring an embroidered Hackney Bumps logo. All of the proceeds from the capsule will go directly to the organization as it regenerates the skatepark and builds an inclusive and diverse community of skaters.
The Hackney Bumps Community Group was founded in 2019 by local skaters keen to regenerate a local skatepark. After funding for renovation fell through due to COVID-19, two of the founder members began polishing the surface themselves. Over time, a community of volunteers joined them. At the core of what Hackney Bumps do is the local community, with the organization offering free skate lessons and championing inclusivity and diversity since its inception.
