Vans and BILLY’s have teamed up once again for three bold iterations of nostalgic ’90s silhouettes. Following their suede-tinged Bold Ni collaboration from back in May, the two labels have imagined wild animal prints to enliven Vans’ Bold Ni, Acer Ni and Bess Ni molds this time around.
The Bold Ni sports a bright orange colorway made up of contrasting patterns all around. Covering the tongue is a boisterous leopard print, followed by a checkerboard design at the toebox. Stretching from the heel to the forefoot are faux-crocodile leather strips that separate the shoe’s leopard-clad collars from its lower zebra-striped body. In contrast, the Acer Ni sees crisp white uppers that have been accented by three of the aforementioned patterns, rearranged to fit the silhouette’s textured panels. Lastly, the Bess Ni, also detailed with the animal prints, boasts sleek black uppers that are almost fully tonal — imbued with hints of dark purple tones. All three silhouettes come with white midsoles that, besides their front bumpers, feature finely molded croc-skin textures.
BILLY’s and Vans’ “Mixed Media” Pack is currently available on BILLY’s’ website for $155 USD per pair.
