Vince Vaughn Plays a Deranged Serial Killer in New Slasher Comedy 'Freaky'
From the same director as ‘Happy Death Day.’
Vince Vaughn has taken the role of a deranged serial killer in an upcoming slasher-comedy titled Freaky. The film is produced by Blumhouse’s writer-director Christopher Landon, the same man behind 2017’s highly successful Happy Death Day.
The first trailer for Freaky shows Vaughn as a serial killer who swaps bodies with Kathryn Newton’s character Millie, an awkward teen who struggles to fit in in high school. As the movie’s title suggests, its premise closely mirrors that of Freaky Friday‘s, a 1972 novel about a mother and daughter switching bodies. Millie has just 24 hours to reclaim her body and stop Vaughn from killing people caught off-guard by the disguised appearance. The movie’s cast also includes such names as Celeste O’Connor, Misha Osherovich and Uriah Shelton, to mention a few.
