Watch Aminé Perform "Woodlawn" and "Burden" from a Hot Air Balloon on 'Jimmy Kimmel'
Honoring George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin and more from 2,200 feet in the air.
Aminé‘s sophomore album Limbo was full of energy and introspection while injecting his signature free-spirit and sense of humor throughout. Songs like “Compensating” managed to fuse the worlds of Young Thug and Wes Anderson while there was an official Rihanna tribute in “Riri”. Now he returns with a new performance of songs “Woodland” and “Burden” for Jimmy Kimmel Live! from a hot air balloon hovering some 2,200 feet above the ground.
Aminé made sure to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement throughout the performance, paying tribute to George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Sandra Bland with a custom t-shirt and numerous callouts throughout the two songs. He dressed the balloon in flags from around the world and different religious symbols with “BLM” scribed across the United States flag.
