The Next Era of 'Inuyasha' Begins in New 'Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon' Trailer
Coming October 2020.
The next chapter of the Inuyasha anime saga begins in the new trailer for Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, a sequel series following the daughters of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.
The trailer showcases the offspring of several characters followed from the original series and shows us what’s transpired since, and how their adventure across two time periods began. According to an official synopsis from Viz Media, “In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family.”
Ten years later, the tunnel between two time periods opens yet again, allowing Towa and Setsuna to reunite. However, Setsuna can’t remember that Towa is her older sister. Joined by Moroha, Kagome and Inuyasha’s daughter, the three young ladies begin their adventure to regain their missing past.
Towa Higurashi will be voiced by Sara Matsumoto, with Setsuna and Moroha being voiced by Mikako Komatsu, and Azusa Tadokoro, respectively.
The trailer comes after several small details surrounding the series released. Key visuals, logos, and a clip have all been recently released, with “new info” on the series expected to arrive later this week. In this case, a full-fledged trailer and a release window of October 2020.
In other entertainment news, Ghost in the Shell will receive a 4K re-rerelease for its 15th anniversary.
